During this time of quarantine, I have found that many of us have come in touch with our inner chefs. I often find myself cooking or baking something for myself or my family to enjoy. Making meals is not just a fun passing activity, you can get the best reward at the end, trying your wonderful creation. There are several simple and fast microwavable mug recipes out there worth trying out. I have decided to share with you a recipe I have found which tastes great and is simple enough for a kid to make on their own. This is an egg-free single-serving mug pizza which only takes 6 minutes to make.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
â…› teaspoon baking powder
1/16 teaspoon baking soda
â…› teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon marinara sauce
1 generous tablespoon shredded cheese
A couple of mini pepperonis (optional)
½ teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil or oregano)
Instructions:
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together in a microwavable mug.
Add in the milk and oil then mix together. There might be some lumps but that is fine.
Spoon on the marinara sauce and spread it around the surface of the batter.
Sprinkle in the cheese, pepperoni, and dried herbs
Microwave for 1 minute, or until it rises up and the toppings are bubbling
Enjoy!
