You are amazing! Never forget that. In today’s world, people get judged, constantly, on the way they look; not just adults or teenagers, but even young children. Society has this odd standard set in order to be considered “pretty” or “handsome”. Your weight, your height, your facial structures, your skin tone; society leaves nothing. But that’s not true. You are beautiful the way you are.
Body shaming sparks eating disorders, like anorexia or bulimia, and mental health issues such as depression in many teens. In general, it is a serious problem. Did you know someone dies almost every hour due to eating disorders? I want everyone to remember a few things when it comes to body shaming:
If someone gives you a negative comment regarding your body, keep your head up. Like I’ve said before, you are amazing, beautiful or handsome, just the way you are. Beauty comes from the inside, not the outside. You have to keep remembering that.
Never be “that” person. Don’t tell people they are ugly. Everyone is different and that’s what makes them unique. Let’s be honest, if you call people ugly, they’re already much more attractive than you in many people’s eyes.
Remember to stay positive, keep your head up, and be kind!
